It was to the full shown by members of a national team of Russia in the World championship on a pyramid in Finland. The sports complex of Tikkurila in the city of Vanta, located all in several tens kilometres from capital of Finland for three days became the centre of billiard pilgrimage. Here games of 7th World championship on «the Free pyramid» from December, 8 till December, 11th have taken place.

In the end of January for one day the centre of billiard events has moved from the West of Russia to Siberia. On January, 28th in Novosibirsk has passed a call match between the world champion of 2005 Jury Pashchinskim and operating champion Pavel Mehovovym. The intrigue became aggravated that in the World championship in Finland Pavel has deduced Jury from struggle for the main title of year. And here their new meeting which though did not carry rating character, but nevertheless gave to one of them chance once again to tell that it – the best.

When in the end of the last year Factory "Start" declared that a beret under the aegis carrying out of an open cup of Sankt-Peterburga-2007 on a pyramid, this news has very much pleased Petersburg, and not only Petersburg, billiard-players. In total in 2007 it will be spent six selection stages, the seventh becomes final. At two stages «the Free pyramid» will be played the third, the fourth — "Dynamical", and on the fifth and the sixth - "Combined". The cup Prize fund makes 9000$.
