World Games by not Olympic kinds of the sports which idea the President has supported completely the IOC Jacque Rogge, have taken place for the first time in 1981. In 2001 many of 92 delegations presented on World Games have got support from the national Olympic committees.

By the way, on VI World games in the Japanese city of Akito the Russian sportsmen competing in 7 from 26 kinds, entering into the program, have won the considerable quantity of medals - 44, from which 24 – gold!

In July, 2005 in Duisburg 177 medals by 33 kinds of sports will be played. We wait from the Russian national team of victories!

 

The president the IOC Jacque Rogge has sent the letter to national Olympic committees with an appeal to support the sportsmen participating in the World games by not Olympic kinds of sports.

With the corresponding letter in all national federations the president of the World confederation of billiard sports (ВКБС) Jorgen Sandman has addressed also. It has expressed desire that all national Olympic committees have been informed that:

Billiard sports are really recognised the IOC;
The IOC recommended to all national Olympic committees to recognise the sports kinds, recognised the IOC;
On the World games on billiard sports medals are awarded.

President ВКБС calls all federations of billiard sports which will have possibility to direct this or that sportsman for participation in the World games 2005 in Duisburg, to get support from outside national Olympic committees.

And it is sad and joyful somehow. It is joyful because that, at last, recognised. And it is sad … Still we not most favourite children …

Here and again re-elected President of committee on national and not Olympic kinds of sports of Russia (КННВС) Michael Tikhomirov regrets that «being the most mass and accessible, national and not Olympic kinds of sports have appeared practically without the state support - both financial, and information-methodical. They develop basically at the expense of enthusiasm of sportsmen and public organisations uniting them».

 

The building "Saalbau" in the city of Bottrop becomes arena for competitions on billiards on World games. Such decision was accepted by Executive committee VKBS after complex visiting. As has informed Jorgen Sandman, competitions on billiards will pass on three disciplines - карамболь, a pool and снукер. "Competitions will last four days, and 64 players of a world class will take part in them", - president ВКБС has noted. Decision-making in favour of Bottrop was affected also by that fact that in this city there is a headquarters of the Billiard union of Germany. Nevertheless, the most important is maintenance of high level of the organisation of competitions and attraction as it is possible большего numbers of spectators. "Complex" Saalbau ", capable to contain to 1000 spectators, is a fine choice from any point of view", - has underlined Jorgen Sandman: "Sportsmen will feel here as cosy, as well as spectators".

In the higher карамбольной instances - the World billiard union (UMB) the scheme of distribution of 16 permits for карамболистов is already definitively chosen. Under the permit will receive the world champion of 2005 and the country-organizer, i.e. Germany. Six permits it is taken away the European federation and on three countries Panameriki and Asia. Africa and the USA also can direct on one representative.

 

And we, together with КННВС will hope that already to these, or at least to following World games by not Olympic kinds of sports billiards all the same will be supported, as from outside the states, and mass-media. And not only in Russia, and in all CIS countries.

Give, not only on an appeal of the President Jacque Rogge's IOC, but also on heart call we will support all our sportsmen – participants of VII World games and we will wish them only victories!
