Command cup of Russia: Together - to a victory (№5 (17) from November, 15th, 2007)

Among girls there was the deserved master of sports Anna Mazhirina, the master of sports of the international class of Anastas Luppova and Tatyana Maksimova and 12 masters of sports. According to experts, on participation in tournament serious enough sportswomen were declared, and struggle promised to be serious. Solemn opening of female tournament has taken place on September, 6th. Game left Perm, Orenburg, Kaliningrad, the Moscow confederation of billiard sports-2, Hunts-Mansijsky autonomous region, Penza. By the way, the command of Orenburg was the most young on tournament, sportswomen of 1993-1995 of a birth entered into it. But it to some extent already became habitual, after all the deserved trainer of Russia Konstantin Pavlovich Krjukov who trains girls, meaningly stakes on young and deduces them on serious competitions that sportsmen were typed tournament experience as soon as possible. The same day two semifinalists were defined. Commands of the Moscow confederation of billiard sports-1 and Samara became them.

The second pair of semifinalists was defined in the third day of tournament. Hopes of a victory were fed with two commands from northern capital, Voronezh and Moscow Region. Last minutes before the beginning of matches the silence in club was broken only by reknock of spheres which went for a drive on tables during warm-ups of sportswomen. Girls have been extremely concentrated, was felt that everyone very much is be not to brought a command and to become the semifinalist and, as consequence, to receive hope of an exit in the ending. In persistent struggle of steam of semifinalists it was defined, is hardly closer, than Voronezh and Moscow Region, to a cup have promoted girls from commands of St.-Petersburg. Man's command cup of Russia as usually, was more populous, than female, 47 commands have taken part in it from 30 regions of Russia. Among participants whom was 141 persons, there were ЗМС Jury Pashchinsky, 6 masters of sports of the international class and 21 master of sports.

At the first stage of sportsmen preliminary games in subgroups to two defeats waited. In a final part 16 commands which have left in the second stage, played on Olympic system. In this plan Samara has appeared a convenient place of carrying out of tournament, the quantity of tables here was big, than in Sochi in previous years. To the middle the strongest teams were the day before yesterday defined: Kemerovo, Ekaterinburg, Samara-1, Orenburg-1, the Moscow confederation of billiard sports and Penza-1. And here the second semi-final has appeared much more difficult. The match lasted five hours, and in persistent struggle a victory sportsmen from Samara have gained Artem Zotov, Dmitry Kazakov and Michael Sajgushev. The third place – Orenburg-1 (Pavel Mehovov, Hamlet Apresjan, Vladimir Vajntsvajg).

– Impressions when you win a command cup of Russia where plays record quantity of commands, inexpressible. I have won almost all titles which exist, I won a command cup of the world, was the champion of a planet. But for native Moscow federation it was not possible to play yet. Therefore I am glad doubly. I can not tell that we have won tournament of one left. The victory has come to us in improbably difficult struggle. There were very heavy games, we lost 2:0 twice. When I rescued a situation when other children pulled out game. Alone on such tournaments do not win. All command should play exactly, stably to achieve good results. The the victory, the more brightly emotion is more difficultly given. Many complexities delivered to us, for example, the Orenburg command which was the most rallied and strong on structure. For them world champion Pavel Mehovov, Vladimir Vajntsvajg – the champion of Asia played. I considered as their main applicants for a victory. But unexpectedly enough they have lost in a semi-final in Samara. Pavel Mehovov, maybe, has a little underestimated the contender. In general, I can tell that tournament was serious test for all participants, and I am very glad that we managed to win it.
