The cup of Chernozem region has gone to Armenia (№2 (20) from June, 09th, 2009)

For three years of the existence the Open cup of Chernozem region has got the status of one of the largest billiard tournaments of region. The fine organisation of competition allowing top-level to accept sportsmen and to spend game, the quantity of participants comparable to the championships of Russia, excellent the equipment – all it allows to tell the professional EC-sionalnoe about the Cup of Chernozem region as about the event having the big importance in a billiard life of region in particular and the country – as a whole.

For the first time organizers – a network bil-jardnyh clubs «Seventh billiard pocket» and Factory "Start" representation in Voronezh – have held tournament in 2006, initially conceiving it as annual sports action. The network of the greatest and fashionable billiard clubs of a city – «the Seventh billiard pocket» became a place of carrying out of the third Open cup of Chernozem region on «the Combined pyramid» traditionally. Equipped with the first class equipment, clubs regularly hold at themselves billiard tournaments of similar level. However this year organizers also have shown approach essentially new to region to the organisation of final th games. The solving meeting has passed in the separate premise ordered in advance on a 12-foot billiard table «Is old II» which has been specially delivered and established by the general sponsor of tournament by Factory "Start".

Struggle for a prize fund in the size of 300 000 roubles was developed within several days. In the clubs which halls in usual days seem spacious enough, this time it was close enough. Besides organizers and a considerable quantity of players here has gathered also many fans and representatives of mass-media who could not pass one of the main billiard events of year.

In the ending have met Cyril Filippov from Novocherkassk and Armand Baklachjan representing Armenia. As a result of this meeting Cyril had to be content only with the status of the finalist: the victory was gained by Armand. The winner of last year, Ile Kirichkovu from Volgograd, managed this time the third place.
