(ContentDesk) July 21, 2006 -- The Shores @ the ocean is pleased to announce their newest home in Lincoln Beach/Depoe Bay, OR.
The Shores has been developing ocean front homes in Lincoln County since 2001.
The best part of buying a vacation home with The Shores is what you dont own.
Owners pay only for what they use and the costs of upkeep, cleaning, and maintenance are shared among the owners. The concept of fractional home ownership has boomed in the past 10 years to over $2 billion per year across the US, says Trent Keeney, Exec VP of The Shores, primarily due to the fact that owners of 2nd and 3rd homes realize the tremendous benefits of owning a fractional vacation home: beautiful high-end custom homes completely furnished, including a management company to do all the cleaning, maintenance and work. The Shores' 12th home features 3 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, game room, large open living spaces, and beach access just the right number of steps away.
Our owners value their time and memories and really dont care to spend their time cleaning and pulling weeds, says Gordon McMahon, founder.
We enable them to have a dream home and dream experiences, with none of the headaches. This amazing home has numerous special features including: 3 gas wood burning fireplaces in the game room, master bedroom, and living room.
Unsurpassed finish work is really seen in the kitchen and incredible levels of knotty pine finish work throughout the house.
Two large decks provide the kind of outdoor living and viewing areas rarely seen.
The master bath includes a large indoor spa and there is an outdoor Jacuzzi as well.
The game room has a plasma TV, a game table, and a pool table for all of your family gatherings.
"Our owners love the fact that they enjoy a home valued at roughly $2M, but they don't pay for the whole home, only to leave it sit vacant most of the year," says Trent Keeney. "Our challenge remains getting people to see the home, because once they see the home, understand how it really is a great way to purchase a vacation home, we commonly hear "I never knew this fractional real estate even exsisted" and we can sign up our next owner," says Keeney.Contact us to learn more..

Myths of Pool
The Dominant EyeEverybody thinks you need to put your cue under your dominant eye or under your chin. But where does Keith McCready and Earl Strickland fit in then? If this were the case, I guess they might need to give back their world championships. Neither Keith nor Earl hold their cues underneath their "dominant eye." Keith and Earl, of course, are not the only players who hold their cue in a place other than their "dominant eye," or chin. The dominant eye is only good for the length of your arm. After that length, both eyes must work together to give you true precision in aiming.Hit the Ball and Then Follow ThroughIf you hit the ball, it's gone.
What good is follow-through going to do? The ball has already left the tip of your cue. What would a baseball batter do if he hit the ball mid-swing, and THEN finished his swing. What would he have? A bunt, right? How about a golfer: if a golfer hits the ball, and then he decides to finish his swing and follow through?...

Courtesy Coaching for Homeschoolers--A Special Offer for Families
Most families who have made the decision to homeschool are, by their very nature, adventurous educators who are always looking to enhance the lifetime learning of their children by trying new teaching methods and materials.
Earlier in 2004, Cyndee Harrison, founder of A Little Grace and Charm solicited input from experienced homeschooling parents in developing a curriculum which is customized to meet the unique needs of homeschooling families.
In a statement released today, her company invites homeschooling families to be a part of the product launch and PILOT these materials in their home at no cost or obligation to purchase further materials.
"We simply ask that families provide us with honest feedback that will help us continue to improve this new curriculum for other families.""The needs of the homeschooling family are unique from any arena that we've approached thus far, so we're obviously depending heavily upon input from the experts--the parents themselves."...
Hundred-Dollar Scholarship Not Enough to Catch the Eye of Most College-Bound Students
(ContentDesk) June 29, 2005 -- When it comes to paying for college, every dollar counts, or does it? According to a survey of 500 Lunch-Money.com users, more than a quarter would not apply for a scholarship worth less than $5,000. "Many students are looking for homeruns when it comes to scholarships," Mark Rothbaum, president of Lunch-Money.com, said. "They want to win one big scholarship that makes
a huge dent in their tuition bill." Only 30 percent of respondents would apply for a scholarship award of $100, while another 23 percent were willing to spend the time if the award was at least $500. With the price tag of some top private colleges approaching $40,000 per year, a $100 scholarship may be viewed as just a drop in the bucket by many students. "These smaller scholarships don't seem worth the time for many kids," Rothbaum said.
"However, these students may be missing their best opportunity for money. These smaller awards are often much less competitive, meaning...
