Spider Strategies?, Inc., announced today it is providing participating universities and
business schools a free copy of its Balanced Scorecard software - Scoreboard? - for use in both classrooms and external learning environments. "It is no secret that today's business world is heavily dependent on computers and software," stated Spider Strategies' Managing Partner, Conor Crimmins.
"While high schools and colleges provide basic Internet and software training, our University Partners Program will enable MBA students to gain valuable hands-on experience with industry applications that supplement their current academic learning."The University Partners Program was pioneered by Dr. Steve Pool of the College of Business and Economics at Ashland University - in Ashland, OH. Beginning this semester, Dr.
Pool's MBA students will be able to log on to Spider's Scoreboard? application via the Internet to build and refine implementations of the Balanced Scorecard methodology.
This program will allow Dr. Pool's students to visualize how their MBA training is deployed in real business environments, as well as allow for them to gain valuable hands-on training time with a product being utilized by scores of organizations ? from Fortune 500 companies to small and large government agencies.Dr. Pool plans to migrate application usage, currently hosted with Spider Strategies' corporate Web operations, to a local-based installation at Ashland University so that his students can gain wider access and greater experience with the tool. "It is my hope that this program spurs other universities to investigate and use this excellent software product," said Dr.
